T.K.'s Big Dogs
160 Broad Street
Kingsport, Tennessee 37660 Phone 423-245-6300
Tom Keller started out selling his unique style
hot dogs from a cart on the sidewalk downtown. People loved his product
so much he opened a restaurant just up Broad Street from where he
started. Hog dogs of every type identified by city names are offered.
Seating is casual and you might catch some local musicians practicing
for the regular summer concerts on Broad which Keller was
instrumental in starting. If hot dogs are your passion, this is your
place.

The Steakhouse

The Steakhouse has great steaks, but there is so much more the
name is misleading. Great burgers and chicken with that backyard
grilled flavor make The Steakhouse a local favorite. Owner, Dewey
Elam insists on only the freshest ingredients as evidenced by some
of the best salads in the area. It's family atmosphere all the way
and the food is top-notch. If you have room left, their peanut
butter pie is silky smooth and a favorite. Sundays offer home style
family dining only.
The name is French for John & Mary the parents of
owner Bill Greene. They opened the business over 50 years ago serving
traditional fare and it has become a Kingsport institution with a loyal
clientele. A typical diner setting, it still has a counter with stools,
but the booths are much more comfortable. They offer daily specials
along with great burgers and their signature beef stew. If it's
happening in Kingsport, you'll probably hear it being discussed at the
Jan-Mar..
Are you tired of the same old pizzas from those big chain pizza
places? For real gourmet pizza made just to your specifications,
this is the place. The also offer delicious sandwiches and offer a lunch
menu that includes a salad and potato bar. Seating is limited, and most
of their business is delivery or carryout. If you're feeding a large
crowd, try Kingsport's largest pizza with the works. It's really big so
you might want some help carrying it.
Cafe Divine is just what the name implies, the
best in sandwiches and salads with daily specials that have become local
favorites. The atmosphere is very friendly with a view of Broad Street
and even sidewalk seating when the weather allows. Their special
homemade chicken salad is locally famous as are their deserts. Owner
Karen Allen makes sure you will be coming back time and time again. You
can't go wrong with this one.
